Police in Lahore on Saturday claimed to have arrested a PTI activist, who had planned to get ‘fake’ votes cast in the by-election to be held on one of the Punjab Assembly (PA) seats tomorrow (Sunday, July 17, 2022) reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the police’s version, the man’s name was Khalid Hussain and he belonged to PTI. He had collected the national identity cards (NICs) of people in PP-168 in lieu of money so that their votes could allegedly be cast in the favour of a PTI candidate.
It is worth-mentioning here that the by-elections on 20 PA seats would be held tomorrow for which arrangements are already complete.
