With the allegations of violation of the Punjab by-polls code of conduct, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) submitted a complaint against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday night.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the complaint against Imran Khan and Asad Umar has been filed by the PML-N leader Mian Faisal in the ECP.
In the complaint, the PML-N leader said despite a ban on running an election campaign on social media, PTI leader Imran Khan and Asad Umar are doing live sessions on Saturday which is a violation of the codes.
He said in the complaint that Imran Khan and Asad Umar are going to do a live session on Facebook and Twitter on Saturday when the election campaign is over.
The PML-N leader told the ECP in the application that Imran Khan will be live at 9:00 pm and Asad Umar will be live on social media at 10:30 pm.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan addressed his followers on Twitter Space live and stressed to the people to raise their voices against the ruling party's rigging in the elections. Replying to different questions from the audience, strongly criticized the role of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) against his party.
