Federal Board announces Matric results 2025

In a formally organised and well-attended ceremony, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced the annual results for Classes 9 and 10 for the academic year 2025.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the results declaration ceremony was held under the auspices of the Federal Board and attended by a notable lineup of dignitaries. Federal Minister for Education, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, graced the event as the chief guest. Also present were Parliamentary Secretary for Education Ms Farah Naz Akbar, members of the National Assembly, and renowned education experts, adding prestige to the occasion.
Dr Siddiqui, Federal Education Minister, initiated the results release, providing students nationwide with instant access to their scores.
Chairman of FBISE, Dr Ikram Ali Malik, delivered the welcome address, sharing comprehensive details about the examination process and acknowledging the collective efforts behind the smooth execution of the exams.
With 284,037 students appearing across 923 examination centres and 1,846 staff on duty, this year’s matriculation exams were a major logistical effort. Only 162 instances of cheating were reported, highlighting the effectiveness of enhanced monitoring measures and the overall integrity of the examination process.
In the 2025 examinations, the Federal Board reaffirmed its commitment to digitisation and transparency by continuing the implementation of E-Marking. With 5,564 examiners compiling the results, the process was both precise and efficient. The overall pass percentage stood at 88.51%, reflecting steady academic achievement.
In a progressive move, all students received their results directly via SMS on the numbers provided at the time of registration, a step that made access faster and more convenient than ever before.
In the Science Group, Maryam Nadeem from Army Public School, Westridge, secured the top position with 1093 marks, followed by Amna Nasir of Lahore Grammar School with 1087 marks, while Saleha Saqib from Emala Foundation School, Misrial, and Hania Iman Waheed from APS Attock shared third place with 1083 marks. In the Humanities Group, Sana Bibi from Shining Star School claimed first place with 1045 marks, followed by Abdur Rehman (1029 marks) and Muhammad Sufiyan Ahmed (1022 marks), both from Idara Uloom-e-Islamiya. Notably, no institution under the Federal Directorate of Education secured a top position this year, highlighting the continued academic dominance of private institutions in federal board results.
