Taylor Swift sends fans into frenzy over rumoured 12th album
Taylor Swift sent the internet into a frenzy after speculation surfaced that she might be preparing to release her highly anticipated 12th studio album.
But just as Swifties began celebrating online, a surprising twist cooled the excitement, leaving fans both hopeful and confused.
The rumours stemmed from an early version of a report by HITS Daily Double, which initially claimed “seismic rumblings” of a new Swift project were stirring within her label, Republic Records. However, the line was later edited to a vague mention: “And there’s always Taylor” –a move that left fans wondering if Team Swift had intervened.
“TS12 we are ready,” one fan posted on X.
Another added, “Whenever Taylor decides to drop new music, we WILL be streaming.”
Despite the report being dialed back, Swifties remained undeterred. Some speculated that the edit was a deliberate smokescreen orchestrated by Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, to protect a potential surprise drop.
“That must mean it’s REALLY coming and Tree told them to delete it,” one user wrote. “Swifties, GET UP!”
Swift’s fanbase, famous for decoding cryptic clues, was quick to point out subtle signs that TS12 might be on the way.
In a recent letter to fans celebrating her full ownership of her master recordings, Swift wrote the word “this” with 12 i’s, a detail many took as a cheeky reference to album #12.
At the 2025 Grammys, she wore earrings featuring 12 jewels, which didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans.
Last month, Swift made a surprise appearance at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, performing Shake It Off — and fans noted she delivered the hit with her signature “country twang,” hinting at a return to her musical roots.
“She’s giving country again. Is TS12 her return to Nashville?” one fan speculated on social media.
