138,000 students register for MDCAT 2026

More than 138,000 students have registered for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced that the MDCAT 2026 entry test will be held on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 am simultaneously across the country.

According to the PMDC, the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, has been assigned to conduct the test in Punjab, while IBA Sukkur will oversee the examination in Sindh. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the test will be conducted by Khyber Medical University (KMU), whereas Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta, will be responsible for Balochistan.

The PMDC said Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad, will conduct the test for candidates from Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as Pakistani students appearing from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

To facilitate candidates from Balochistan, an additional MDCAT test centre will be established in Islamabad by Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences. The centre will cater exclusively to candidates holding Balochistan domicile.

The PMDC further said registration with the regular fee remained open until July 13, while the last date to register with a late fee is July 18.
