FIA recovers Rs2.8 million withdrawn through bank fraud in Rawalpindi

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle took action and returned more than Rs2.8 million withdrawn through bank fraud to the citizen in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday. 

Taking action on complaint regarding Allied Bank Limited Afshan Colony Branch Rawalpindi, full amount of the affected citizen recovered.

Money was withdrawn from the victim’s account on the night of November 15 and 16 by making a fake transaction.

The amount was withdrawn through various IBFTs and direct payments without the consent of the owner.

The citizen could not be aware of this fraud in time due to not receiving any alert on the mobile regarding the said transaction.

The FIA ​​sought relevant records from the bank authorities regarding the fraud.

In the light of a complete investigation and evidence, the bank management was found guilty.

The FIA ​​recovered Rs2.8 million from the bank.
