Little boy shoots sister dead after a tiff in Chiniot

A seven-year-old boy shot and killed his nine-year-old sister after a verbal argument while playing in the suburban village of Mouza Aasiyan in Chiniot on Thursday, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.

According to officials from the Saddar Police Station, the suspect, identified as Nauman, engaged in an exchange of hot words with his elder sister, Maryam, while they were playing.

The situation escalated when the minor retrieved a loaded pistol kept inside the household and pulled the trigger while aiming at his sister. Maryam died on the spot.

Saddar Police personnel arrived at the site shortly after the incident and transferred the body to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for mandatory post-mortem procedure.

However, the grief-stricken parents have termed the entire incident a tragic accident.

They have refused to initiate any formal legal proceedings or register a criminal case against the young boy.
