A citizen on Thursday challenged in the Sindh High Court (SHC) the recruitments made in the Workers’ Welfare Board, Sindh between 2021 and 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking during the hearing, counsel for the petitioner said that rules were not followed during the hirings.

Naming the chairman, secretary Welfare Board and others as respondents, the petitioner said that over 500 recruitments were made during the aforementioned period.

He further stated that advertisements should have been given before filling these vacancies, which was not done.

The petitioner pointed out that the candidates had to appear in a written exam and then their interviews were conducted, which was also not done.

He prayed to the court to declare all recruitments made during the period null and void.

After hearing initial arguments, the judge ordered the respondents to file their replies on August 18.
