Swift retribution as public beat robber to death in Karachi

An alleged robber was killed and his accomplice was seriously injured after they were caught by public following a robbery incident near Gul Muhammad Chowk in Block 9 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar in Karachi on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to rescue officials, the two suspects were reportedly involved in a robbery when local residents overpowered them and subjected them to severe violence. 

However, one of the suspects died at the scene, while the other sustained critical injuries.

The deceased and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) by rescue teams. 

Rescue officials identified the deceased as Shehzad Ali, while the injured suspect was named as Amir Ali.

Police said they are conducting a formal inquiry to piece together the sequence of events and hold all responsible parties accountable.
