Govt orders sealing Islamabad sectors

The federal capital has decided to seal various sectors and markaz from Wednesday night to stem the spread of coronavirus.

According to a notification issued by the administration on Tuesday, sectors I-8, I-3, I-4, I-10/1 and I-10/2, and markaz will be sealed on night between Wednesday and Thursday. The decision was taken on the NIH report. All medical stores and grocery shops will remain opened during this lockdown.

Islamabad police, Rangers and Army troops will cordon off the above said areas. Additional Deputy Commissioner will ensure food supply to the sealed areas, reads the notification.

Punjab government on Monday also decided to seal various areas of Lahore to control the spread of coronavirus. At least 32 areas would be sealed in Lahore tonight.
