Moinul Haque appointed new envoy to Beijing

Pakistan Ambassador to France Moinul Haque has been appointed as country’s new envoy to ‘Iron Brother’ China replacing the current ambassador Naghmana Alamgir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday, quoting its sources.

Pakistan Ambassador to France, Monaco and Unesco Moinul Haque had previously served in Belgium, Canada, Sri Lanka, Turkey and United Satiates.

According to Pakistan Embassy France website, Moinul Haque joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1987. He had served in Desk Officer for Bangladesh, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 1989-1990, Language trainee in Vichy, France 1990-1991, Assistant Director, Personnel Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 1991-1993, Second Secretary, Embassy of Pakistan, Brussels 1993-1996, Deputy Director, OIC Summit Cell, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 1996-1997, Deputy Director, Foreign Secretary’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 1997-1999, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations New York 1999-2002,Counsellor, High Commission for Pakistan, Colombo, Sri Lanka 2002-2005, Director/Chef de Cabinet, Foreign Secretary’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2005-2007, Consul General, Consulate General of Pakistan Vancouver, Canada 2007-2010, Minister/Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan, Ankara 2010-2013, Director General (Europe), Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2013,   Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2013-2015, Additional Secretary (Administration), Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016,  Ambassador of Pakistan to Paris, also accredited to Principality of Monaco in July 2017.

He completed 5-month Senior Management Course from School of Public Policy, Lahore in 2007 and 5-month National Security Course from National Defence University in 2015-2016.

He is married and has one daughter and two sons.

According to the TV channel, Pakistan Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China Naghmana Alamgir Hashmi will leave charge of her duty on July 19.
