The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a number of supplementary grants, reported 24News HD TV channel on Wednesday.

Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin chaired the meeting of the ECC. Sources told that a 13-point agenda was discussed in the meeting wherein the policy regarding non-governmental organizations (NGOs) has been approved.

The meeting approved a supplementary grant for Gilgit Baltistan for subsidy on wheat purchase. A summary for the provision of 500,000 metric tons of wheat to KP was also approved by the meeting.

A number of other summaries like supplementary grants for Ministry of Industries and Production, a grant of Rs274 million for the government news agency and Pakistan Television, a technical supplementary grant of Rs570 million for fencing on Pak-Afghan border as well as supplementary grants for Maritime Affairs, Gwadar Port Authority and Pakistan Marine Academy were approved in the meeting.

Furthermore, the meeting also approved a grant of Rs145 million for the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority and a summary of Rs2.46 billion for FBR.
