Shortly after the death of politician and well-known televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain, a debate over the division of his legacy became a sore subject.

According to the latest developments, the mother of Liaquat's third wife Dania Shah has gone ahead and made a statement on the issue of inheritance.

In an interview with a private website, Dania's mother discussed what was said on social media about Aamir Liaquat's assets.

She said that despite the divorce case being registered, Aamir Liaquat had died and Dania is now his widow, adding that Dania's family is not greedy because they live in the same house before and after her marriage, not in the bungalow provided by the former politician.

Dania's mother went on to say that Aamir Liaquat had said many times in his life that he had paid his share to her first two wives and children, adding that now everything belongs to Dania.

However, according to National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) records, Aamir Liaquat Hussain's son, Ahmed, and daughter, Dua, may be his legal heirs.

Earlier, Aamir Liaquat, who was found dead in his home on June 9, was suffering from severe mental distress due to repeated online trolling after his third wife filed for divorce and made serious allegations against him.
