Fire erupts in shops near Karachi’s Regal Chowk 

Fire erupted in shops near Regal Chowk in Karachi on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Firefighters were busy extinguishing the blaze till last reports came in. 

Fire in Bahadurabad finally doused

Earlier on Monday, firefighters managed to put out the blaze that had erupted in a shop near Char Minar Chowrangi in Bahadurabad locality of the port city, while the process of cooling was underway till the filing of this news. 

Rescue Station In-charge Javeria said that she was informed of the fire at 9:00 in the morning. 

She further said that the rescuers faced difficulties due to the smoke rising from the shop. “Three vehicles of Rescue 1122 participated in the fire extinguishing operation,” Javeria said, adding there was no system of ventilation in the shop.

She said that the fire might have been caused due to a short circuit. “However, no loss of life has been reported in the incident. But on the other hand, goods worth millions of rupees have been reduced to ashes.”
