Rita Ora, JLS, and Will Smith set Wembley alight
Wembley Stadium was electric as Rita Ora led a star-studded lineup at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard, delivering a sizzling performance alongside surprise appearances from boy band JLS and Hollywood icon Will Smith.
The 34-year-old pop sensation stole the spotlight in a daring black leather co-ord – tiny hot pants and a revealing crop top – that showcased her stunning figure. Paired with knee-high boots and her signature energy, Rita stormed the stage, belting out some of her biggest hits to an ecstatic crowd of 80,000.
But the surprises didn’t end there. Fans were left in shock as beloved British boy band JLS – Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes, and JB Gill – took the stage for a surprise performance. Dressed in trendy denim outfits, the group delivered a nostalgic medley of hits including Club Is Alive, She Makes Me Wanna, Beat Again, and Everybody in Love.

Speaking about their unexpected appearance, the band said, “It’s been 16 years since our first Capital Summertime Ball, and there was no better way to return than by surprising fans. Hearing 80,000 people sing along was unforgettable.”
Elsewhere, Hollywood royalty Will Smith, 56, amped up the celebration with a dynamic set that included a special Father’s Day moment. The Fresh Prince star brought his son Jaden Smith, 26, on stage, joking, “I’m only joining because it’s Father’s Day.” The duo performed together, celebrating fatherhood and love in front of the massive crowd. Smith also treated fans to a snippet of his iconic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song, prompting massive cheers.

Pop icon Jessie J added an emotional note to the night. Fighting back tears, she announced this would be her last performance before undergoing surgery for breast cancer. “Today, this show is my last before I go to beat breast cancer,” she said, receiving heartfelt support from the audience. “You have no idea how special this is to me.”
Rounding out the dazzling event, Jade Thirlwall stunned in a sparkly mini-skirt outfit with chaps and fishnets, delivering a high-energy set backed by a team of dancers. The former Little Mix star kept the energy alive with her dynamic stage presence.
From jaw-dropping outfits to surprise reunions and emotional moments, the Capital Summertime Ball 2025 was one for the history books—celebrating music, family, strength, and showbiz in true star style.
