Rs38 billion set aside for irrigation dept

The Punjab government has allocated Rs38 billion for the irrigation department in the budget for the financial year 2025-26, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Rs1.3 billion has been allocated for 8 schemes involving construction of buildings and Rs155.2 million is proposed for 3 drainage schemes. Rs1.9 billion is allocated for flood-related work.

Rs13.21 billion is allocated for the irrigation department and Rs5.8 billion for 25 irrigation schemes. Rs3.7 billion will go to construction of small dams.
