Actor and singer Mohsin Abbas Haider has revisited a controversial incident from his past, revealing why he once publicly criticized actors, actresses, and directors who arrive on production sets under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Speaking during an interview, Mohsin recalled posting a social media status in which he mentioned that industry professionals who come to work intoxicated should face strict consequences, including potential bans from productions.
According to Mohsin, the post was inspired by a personal experience he had while working on a project.
He claimed that an actress on the set appeared to be under the influence which prompted him to speak out publicly about the issue.
The actor shared that shortly after uploading the status, he received a call from the production house associated with the project.
During the conversation, representatives allegedly asked whether his comments were directed at a specific individual currently working on the set.
Mohsin said he confirmed their suspicions, after which the matter was reportedly taken up internally by the production team.
Describing the incident, he claimed the actress appeared visibly disoriented during filming.
“I would be talking to her, and she would be looking somewhere else,” he said.
Mohsin further stated that he believes such behavior should never be normalized within the entertainment industry.
He concluded the argument with quoting “substance abuse contributes to broader social problems and negatively affects professional work environments.”
