Man kills sister for ‘honour’ in Jacobabad

A man gunned down his 20-year-old sister, Maryam Brohi, for ‘honour’ in Jacobabad city of Sindh province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Maula Dad Police Station in Jacobabad. Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the spot and arrested the accused, who was later identified as Abid Brohi.
Police also recovered the weapon used in the murder of young woman. Further investigation was underway.
The so-called "honor killings" are premeditated murders carried out by relatives of the victim, with the relatives believing the victim's behavior has brought shame to the family.
