Chairman lists NAB feats

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has proof of mega corruption and money-laundering by big fish, Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal said on Monday.
The head of the anti-corruption body listed its feats saying that the bureau filed 1,230 references against the corrupt and the proceedings are underway while Rs714 billion was added to the national exchequer since its creation.
Its official work with bravery and dedication he said and recalled that Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah called favouritism and bribery big evil in his address at the assembly. According to the NAB chief, there is a difference between street crimes and white-collar crimes and the bureau will continue the campaign to white-collar crimes.
NAB has attached top priority to taking mega corruption to a logical end, Javed Iqbal said, adding that sugar scam will be taken to the logical end. According to the UN convention of prevention from corruption, NAB is the focal body of Pakistan while it is Saarc chairman and it is a role model for Saarc states.
