ECP to hold local body elections in Islamabad under Rules 2015

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hold local body elections in Islamabad under the Rules 2015.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP has taken such a decision after declaring annulled the 2021 ordinance from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The ECP has issued instructions for preparations for holding elections under the 2015 Act.
The report said the decision was taken at a meeting held to review the preparations in the light of the High Court’s verdict on Wednesday.
