A police officer who was returning from duty at Zaman Park in Lahore was shot and injured on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Imran Jutt was targeted by two attackers riding a motorcycle.

The accused chased Imran Jutt and then opened fire on him. The injured police officer managed to run away from the scene.

Later he was shifted to a hospital for treatment. 

The attackers also took away ASI’s motorbike with them.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
