Lahore again ranked as world’s most-polluted city with AQI 227

After the short hiatus, Lahore again ranked on the top among most polluted cities with the air quality index (AQI) 227, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The AQI over US Consulate was recorded at 306 and 231 over the area of Thokar, it was 253 over Syed Maratib Ali Road while 225 over Johar Town.

Doctors have advised people to avoid travelling unnecessarily so that they could prevent themselves from getting exposed to poor air quality.

The weather department, on the other hand, forecast the increase in temperature for the next 24 hours.

Whereas, the current temperature of the city is recorded at 17 degrees Celsius with a 76 percent humidity ratio.

The weather department also predicted no rain in the next 24 hours.
