Meghan Markle and Prince Harry warned DIVORCE could be their biggest TV hit
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been hit with fresh speculation about their marriage, with a royal expert warning that a divorce could generate more media interest than their current Netflix projects.
Journalist Marina Hyde shared her views on her podcast, suggesting that the couple’s multi-million-dollar Netflix deal is unlikely to be renewed, but a potential split could attract major offers from streaming platforms.
"People are hanging around in case there's a divorce," Hyde claimed, as reported by GB News. She added, "Netflix is not going to renew [their deal]. They might say they're continuing to develop projects, but the reality is, a lot of people are waiting to see if there's a divorce."
The speculation follows the release of Meghan’s Netflix cooking series With Love, Meghan, which has reportedly struggled with both viewership and critical reception. Some industry insiders believe that interest in the couple has waned since their initial bombshell revelations in their 2021 Oprah interview and 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.
Hyde suggested that if Meghan and Harry were to part ways, streaming giants would "queue up to make a series about it," predicting it would be a ratings sensation.
While there is no indication of trouble in their marriage, the Sussexes have faced a series of professional setbacks, including the underwhelming response to Meghan’s new show. Whether they can regain their media influence—or if they even want to—remains to be seen.
