Meta unveils simplest way to earn money from Facebook 

Meta has unveiled a new feature on Facebook that allows content creators to generate income from public story views, further expanding the platform’s monetization opportunities.

The feature is exclusively available to creators already enrolled in Facebook’s content monetization program. It enables them to earn revenue from existing content they share as stories.

“For instance, if a user posts a cooking tutorial video or reel and shares part of it as a story, they can now earn from the story views as well,” Meta explained in a statement.

Additionally, everyday content shared via stories can also be monetized. A Meta spokesperson confirmed that earnings would be based on content performance rather than a fixed view count, making it easier for creators to benefit.

“This initiative aims to encourage creators to produce more content for Facebook,” the company added.

Creators already part of the monetization program will automatically gain access to the new feature without needing to take extra steps. Facebook initially launched its content monetization program last year, inviting millions of users to participate.

Meta also announced plans to expand the program later this year, allowing more users to join. Those who are not yet enrolled can express interest through Facebook’s monetization website.
