SECP registers 3046 new foreign companies in February 2025

The Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 3,046 new companies in February 2025, taking the tally to 2,46,608 companies, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
SECP registered 99.9 percent of new companies through the digital platform. 
As per new statistics, 58 percent of private companies were registered, and the remaining 38 percent of companies got registration as single members.
Moreover, three new foreign companies established their trade centres in Pakistan.
As many as 635 companies related to commerce and information technology (IT) were registered during February 2025.
Around 286 companies related to commerce and 379 companies related to services sectors were registered, while 296 new companies related to the real estate and construction sectors, respectively, were registered.
The statistics further revealed that 165 companies of tourism and transport, 139 companies of food and beverages got registration, 78 companies of marketing and advertisement, textile 75, corporate agriculture farming, including other 56 new companies, also got registration.
Due to the attractive investment policies of the current government, a marginable increase is being witnessed in the registration of foreign companies.
