Dar, acting US ambassador discuss regional situation, bilateral cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held a meeting with acting US Ambassador to Pakistan, Zachary Harkenrider, to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation.

According to a spokesperson, the meeting focused on strengthening ties between Pakistan and the United States as well as reviewing ongoing developments in the region.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on the current regional situation in detail and emphasised the need for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

Pakistan underscored the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region and highlighted the significance of diplomatic engagement in addressing regional challenges.

The spokesperson said the meeting also included discussions on further expanding cooperation between Pakistan and the United States across various sectors, while both sides reiterated the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration.
