Monitoring Committee says petroleum product reserves available till mid-April
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired a meeting of the Petroleum Monitoring Committee to review supply and demand of petroleum products across the country, reported2NewsHD TV Channel.
The Monitoring Committee was told that abundant reserves of petrol and diesel were available in the country and petroleum product requirements for March are fully met.
Pakistan has petroleum product reserves available till mid-April and there was no risk of petrol shortage.
Finance Ministry’s The Monitoring Committee has urged people to avoid panic buying.
Ministry of Finance said steps were being taken to ensure continuous supply of petroleum products. Ministry of Finance said in view of the regional situation, it has been decided to diversify the sources of oil imports.
Ministry of Finance has directed OGRA and provincial governments to strictly monitor the market.
