SBP says current account touches record surplus in Feb 2026
State Bank of Pakistan has said that Pakistan's current account has touched a record surplus in February 2026 as current account recorded a surplus of $427 million in February 2026.
The central bank said the current account surplus in January 26 was $680 million.
The State Bank said exports in February were $2.48 billion. The import bill in February was $5.15 billion.
The remittances were $3.288 billion. The current account deficit was $700 million in 8 months of the current fiscal year. The current account surplus was $479 million in 8 months of the previous fiscal year.
