Timothee Chalamet faces disappointing Oscars night after best actor loss
Actor Timothee Chalamet experienced a challenging evening at the 2026 Academy Awards after losing the Best Actor trophy to Michael B. Jordan, capping a night that also included jokes directed at the young star during the ceremony.
Wonka actor Chalamet, had been widely considered a strong contender for the award thanks to his performance in the sports drama Marty Supreme.

The actor attended the event with partner Kylie Jenner, who was seated beside him during the show.

In reality, Chalamet has never taken a fall at the Oscars, although he did briefly stumble while stepping onto the stage during the BFI London Film Festival in 2023, a small moment that quickly went viral online.
