One more policeman died from coronavirus in Punjab on Saturday.

Head constable Ramzan Alam was under treatment at Jinnah Hospital in Lahore.

His samples were taken on May 11 for a COVID-19 test that reported he contracted the virus.

Sources said that he contracted the virus while performing his duties as assistant reader at Iqbal Town police station.  

On May 16, the Capital City Police confirmed the first coronavirus fatality.
