More than 1,000 Pakistanis stranded in Saudi Arabia have flown home by four flights so far and more flights will take stranded people to Pakistan in the coming days, says Pakistan’s consul general in Jeddah.
On Saturday, a special flight of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) left Jeddah for Karachi with 250 Pakistanis who had been stranded in Saudi Arabia for the last couple of months.
This is the first PIA flight from Jeddah to Karachi since suspension of flight operation between the two countries a couple of months ago. Pakistan’s consul general and deputy consul general in Jeddah saw off the passengers at the Jeddah Airport. The passengers thanked the government of Pakistan for making arrangements for the PIA flight.
