♦The Supreme Court conducts hearing on presidential reference to interpret Article 63-A. The court expresses displeasure over petitions by attorney general and PML-N lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan for adjournment of hearing. “Petitions for adjournment show you want a delay. Do not do anything that gives bad impression,” remarks the chief justice.

 ♦Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expresses anger over failure to meet wheat procurement target in provinces. He orders to complete wheat procurement target by June 1. He says people cannot be put in any difficulty. He vows the federal government will provide flour at lower prices at all costs.
