PML-N senior leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the country is passing through a very critical economic situation and we have to pay a heavy price of the reckless political decisions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media on Monday in Islamabad, the PML-N leader said the government had not raised the prices of petroleum products. “Government is trying to put less and less pressure of the IMF conditions on masses,” Abbasi said adding that the condition of economy had been wobbly for the last four years.
He maintained that the new government was trying to fix the woes, the previous PTI government had burdened Pakistan with.
He said that the economic rout was all the more obvious when we compared today’s economic situation with that of the situation in 2018.
“We are trying to rectify the ills of Imran’s government,” he said stressing that everyone should leave politics far behind and work for the revival of economy. It is the biggest problem the country is confronted with at present, he maintained.
Abbasi said that government would not let anyone steal election this time round.
On the question of Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan, he said that the PML-N supremo would be back as soon as his physicians allowed him to travel.
