Lahore Traffic boss eyes Rs2000 tickets for wrong bike parking, one-way violations

Lahore Traffic top cop has recommended Rs2000 challan from Rs200 for bike parkers violating the parking rules in the city in a bid to control the traffic mess in the metropolis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On the other hand, the car parking violators, people who drive vehicles without license and and one-way violators, cars with tainted black screens and illegal number plates will also not get away easily as traffic police has also recommended something for them. It has been recommended to increase the challan ticket of car parking violators from Rs2000 to Rs5,000.
Lahore City Traffic Officer (CTO) Muntazar Mehdi said that traffic rules violations are increasing instead of decreasing and now the traffic police have recommended such hefty fines to control the sprawling bad parking culture, one of the main causes of the traffic jam.
CTO Muntazar Mehdi believed that current traffic challan are measured amounts and to change the situation in the city, these fine tickets may be revised. He wrote this letter to IG Police and recommended the increase and revised challan ticket to get the formal approval.
