People of Orakzai and the adjacent areas thronged the Orakzai festival on the last and third day of the event.

The people were highly excited and showed their jubilation over holding the festival in the Orakzai.

Sports and provincial cultural stalls remained the center of attention of a large number of people including children during the festival.

While the participants were busy buying food and favorite souvenirs, on the other hand they were entertained by various organized competitions like jeep rally, camel and horse dance, traditional tribal rag-off and other cultural and traditional events like Kabaddi, Dashikshi and tent-pegging.

Corps Commander Peshawar attended the closing ceremony of the three-day Orakzai Saparli Mela as a special guest and also visited various stalls.

The corps commander distributed prizes among the successful athletes who participated in the fair.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism and Pakistan Army are giving the status of a tourist area of the province to heavenly Orkazai through joint efforts.

This will not only provide employment to the people of the area but also increase the foreign exchange of the country.

In this regard, Pakistan Army has also provided training of tour guides to the youth of the area,
