UK Foreign Secretary Lammy calls on Bilawal in Islamabad

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy called on Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

The meeting discussed the recent tensions between Pakistan and India. 

The enhancement of bilateral trade, social and cultural relations between Pakistan and the UK and matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting. 

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar briefed British Foreign Secretary David Lammy on India’s unprovoked and aggressive actions during a meeting in Islamabad on the latter's first official visit to Pakistan. According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two dignitaries held in-depth discussions on recent developments in South Asia, particularly the situation following the Pakistan-India ceasefire agreement. Dar emphasised that India’s actions were in violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, international law, and the United Nations Charter. He added that Pakistan exercised its right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
