The Balochistan Home Department has announced relaxation in lockdown across the province ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to an official notification issued in Quetta, the relaxation in lockdown will remain in effect until June 1. The department stated that all shops, business centres, shopping malls and markets across the province will be allowed to remain open during this period.

Officials said the decision was taken to facilitate citizens and commercial activities ahead of Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.

Earlier, the Government of Pakistan had imposed a nationwide lockdown under its energy conservation policy aimed at reducing electricity consumption and managing energy resources.
