Bird hits plane’s engine while landing at Lahore Airport

A bird struck the engine of a flight of Airblue, which was preparing to land at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), coming from Jeddah on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, during landing, a bird collided with the engine No. 1 of the plane, but the pilot managed to land the aircraft.
After the successful landing, the aircraft was grounded immediately for checking and maintenance.
Later, the same flight was scheduled to depart for Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) of Karachi.
After the suspension of the flight, passengers held a protest demonstration at the airport and chanted slogans against the management of the airline.
