Pakistan, Egypt agree to enhance security, anti-terrorism cooperation
Egyptian Interior Ministry delegations holds talks with Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad
A delegation of Egyptian Interior Ministry met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry in Islamabad on Saturday.
They discussed cooperation in the areas of security, counter terrorism, anti-narcotics, cybercrime and safe city projects.
The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation between their interior ministries.
It was decided to increase cooperation between National Police Academy and the Police Academy of Egypt for joint training of officers.
Mohsin Naqvi said practical steps will be taken to strengthen relations with Egypt. He said a Pakistani delegation will soon visit Egypt to explore new opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Talal Chaudhry noted that there are extensive opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in counter-terrorism, anti-narcotics and internal security.
