Pakistan sets up NDMS company to develop dredging capabilities

Pakistan has established National Dredging and Marine Services (NDMS) company to develop local dredging capabilities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
This is a joint initiative of the National Logistics Corporation, Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Port Qasim Authority and Gwadar Port Authority.
With local dredging capacity, reliance on foreign companies will decrease and significant foreign exchange savings are expected.
Dredging operations will help keep Port Qasim fully operational without interruptions and make maritime transport more efficient.
