Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans to reach PSL final for first time

Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 25 runs in the last playoff match of the season to reach the final of the fifth edition of the (PSL) Pakistan Super League on Sunday evening. 

In the final, Qalandars will play Karachi Kings for the PSL title. Kings qualified for the final on Saturday by beating Sultans after a thriller that led the game into the Super Over. 

On Sunday, Sultans won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Qalandars piled up a good total of 182 for 6 wickets. David Wiese and Fakhar Zaman remained top scorers with 48 and 46 runs, respectively. 

From Sultans’ side, Shahid Afridi took two wickets and Sohail Tanvir, Muhammad Ilyas, A Lyth and Junaid Khan one each. 

While chasing the target, Sultans collapsed at 157 for 10 wickets. From Qalandars' side, Wiese and Harris Rauf took three wickets each.
