Pakistan reports 2,128 new coronavirus cases; 19 deaths
Pakistan Monday reported 2,128 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.
There were 19 more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 7,160 that represents a ratio of 2%.
According to the figures, 2,128 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours after conducting 29,511 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 359,032 that returned positive after conducting 4,950,561 total tests so far.
The number of active cases in the country reached 28,048 with 1,379 patient in critical condition. There are 1,587 virus patients admitted to the hospitals for the treatment while 206 patients are on the ventilators.
There were 599 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 323,824 with a 90.2% recovery rate.
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 457 new cases in last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 110,450 with 10,199 active cases. The province reported 4 new virus-related death as death toll reaches 2,475. With 20 new recoveries, 97,776 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
The most affected province Sindh has once again recorded 942 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 155,680 with 10,226 active cases. The province reported five new deaths as the death toll reached 2,747. With 290 new recoveries, 142,707 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 380 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 42,370 with 2,054 active cases. The province reported two new virus-related death as death toll reached 1,311. With 181 new recoveries, 39,005 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan has recorded another 14 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 16,407 with 399 active cases. The province reported no new virus-related death as the death toll remains at 156. With 35 new recoveries, 15,852 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 224 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 24,218 with 3,687 active cases. Two new deaths were reported in the Federal Capital as the virus death toll reached 257. With no new recovery reported, the number of recovered patients is 20,274 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 106 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 5,455 with 1,327 active cases. With two new deaths reported, the death toll reached at 121. There were 62 new recoveries in the AJK as 4,007 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan has recorded 5 new cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 4,452 with 156 active cases. With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remained at 93. There were 11 recoveries as patients recovered from the deadly disease remained at 4,203.
