Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah tests positive for coronavirus

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has tested positive for coronavirus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

CM Murad said he underwent for coronavirus test after feeling a mild fever on Friday that has returned positive.

Murad Ali Shah has quarantined himself in the Chief Minister House upon doctor’s advice. The CM Sindh said he has still a mild fever but overall was feeling better.

He has also advised all the employees of the CM House to undergo for coronavirus tests as well.

Pakistan is currently experiencing a second wave of coronavirus and there was a regular daily surge in the positive cases.

On Monday, the country reported 2,128 new coronavirus cases with 19 more causalities related to the deadly disease.

Sindh is the most affected province in terms of positive coronavirus cases and had once again recorded 942 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 155,680 with 10,226 active cases.

The province reported five new deaths as the death toll reached 2,747. With 290 new recoveries, 142,707 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
