Ulema delegation headed by PML-N MPA Jalil Ahmad Sharaqpuri called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi at his residence on Sunday.

Delegation included Riaz Sultanul Hassan Shah, Mufti Syed Ashiq Hussain and Peer Akhtar Rasool Qadri among others. The ulema inquired about welfare of former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain and led special prayers for his early and complete recovery. 

MPA Jalil Sharaqpuri said that Almighty Allah may bless Ch Parvez for raising voice for Tafuffuz--e-Islam Bill. He said that Ch Parvez Elahi is the only political leader who got the legislation passed from Punjab Assembly and immediate ban imposed on indecent books containing humiliating material about the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), Ummahatul Momineen, and other Sahaba Karam (RA).

Thanking the ulema, Ch Parvez Elahi said that there would be no compromise on blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Sectarianism has already damaged Pakistan, now on all these issues  all Muslims will have to raise voice on all forums.
