The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started tightening its nose around former chief minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar,” 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

In a recent development, the NAB Executive Board approved the recommendation of NAB Lahore to launch an investigation against Usman Buzdar in assets beyond the means.   

It may be noted that the National Accountability Bureau NAB is already investigating Usman Buzdar in a liquor license case.  

The anti-corruption watchdog is also probing the former chief minister in the alleged illegal promotions in the Communication and Work Department during his tenure. He is also facing charges for allegedly awarding contracts for key development projects in the province of Punjab to his cronies.

However, the Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Divisional Bench on November 3 barred NAB from disciplinary action against former Punjab CM.
