Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif Saturday condemned the government for rapidly increasing the prices of petroleum products, reported 24NewsHD TV.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Finance declared the price of petrol has been jumped to Rs10.49 per litre, High-Speed Diesel by Rs12.44 rupees, Kerosene Oil increased to Rs10.95 rupees, and Light Diesel Oil by Rs8.84 per litre.
Talking to media persons in Jati-Umrah Lahore, he said: “The government has dropped the petrol bomb on people. With the increase in diesel and petrol prices, the prices of everything will be increased. Mostly, the people’s monthly income is Rs20,000 or less and in such circumstances, it becomes difficult for the poor to manage household expenses.”
He said the wheat flour and oil mafia had robbed billions of rupees of the people.
Leader of opposition in his latest tweet stated, “No words to describe the extreme cruelty this selected PTI regime has inflicted on people in the form of yet another increase in prices of items of daily use.”

Talking on the Prime Minister Imran Khan resignation, he said, “PM Imran’s resignation could provide some relief to the nation”.
“Mini budgets are evident of the incumbent government’s economic defeats. Imran Niazi is sacrificing nation and Pakistan economy at the altar of the IMF,” he added.
Shehbaz dubbed the act of putting 17% sales tax on tax-exempted goods and increase in petrol and electricity rates as terrorism against people and the economy.
Pakistan People Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also lashed out at the government and said: “PTI government has brought a tsunami of inflation in the country”.
Bilawal said that a hike in petrol’s price a day after rising in power tariff proved Imran Khan is a prime minister who stands against the people.
He sought people’s help to support the PPP to get rid of the government which is dragging Pakistan into the mud of inflation.
