Gold price shines at record Rs442,800 per tola in Pakistan

The price of per-tola 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,900 on Thursday to Rs442,800, up from Rs440,900 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,629 to Rs379,629 from Rs378,000, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed to Rs348,005 from Rs346,512, showing an increase of Rs1,493.
In the international market, gold prices also went up by $19, reaching $4,217 compared to $4,198 on the prior day.
However, the prices of silver remained unchanged as per-tola 24-karat silver was sold at Rs5,337 and 10 grams at Rs4,575. International silver also held steady at $52.50 per ounce, the association reported.
