Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the case of sexual harassment from Pakistani national cricket team captain Babar Azam on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Justice Shehram adjourned the hearing of the case without proceeding with the petitioner Babar Azam’s request as his lawyer was busy in the Supreme Court.
Justice Shehram also recommended sending Babar Azam’s harassment case to another court and referred the file to the LHC Registrar.
Babar Azam has challenged the order of the Justice of Peace to register a sexual harassment case against him on the appeal of a female Hameeza Mukhtar.
The Justice of Peace had ordered the FIA and the police to register a case against Babar Azam on the request of a woman on which Babar Azam approached the LHC to annul the order.
Babar Azam stated in the petition that the woman filed the registration case for blackmailing the petitioner and approached the Justice of the Peace after getting fail to register a case against him in the FIA and the police.
He requested the LHC to declare the order of the Justice of Peace illegal and annul it.
