Substantial increase in the import of Palm Oil and pulses was witnessed in the preceding month of August, 2022 compared with July 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, compared with July, the import of pulses registered an increase by 112 per cent in August as over 110,000 metric tonnes of pulses worth over Rs24 billion were imported in the above-mentioned month.  

Similarly, compared with July in which Palm Oil worth over Rs65 billion was imported, the figures shot up to Rs92 billion in August.
