Asserting that amending the constitution was a prerogative of the parliament, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Monday that the PML-N respected JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s stance on the passage of constitutional amendments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she said that despite the fact that it was the PTI, which had stolen the people’s mandate from the JUI-F in the February 8 general elections, they were still on good terms with each other.
Referring to the announcement made by former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan a few days ago in which he had said that there would be no more talks with the military establishment, Azma said the same person was now begging forgiveness from those who called shots in the country.
In a reference to Imran, she categorically stated that only one man could not hold the entire country hostage.
